11 of a family killed in Faisalabad Crash
A fatal crash between an accelerating passenger bus traveling at high speed and a Qingqi rickshaw took place on Lahore Road near Lundianwala resulting in the death of an entire family group that included three generations. Eleven family members lost their lives including the mother and her two daughters while seven people suffered major injuries. The group of victims was traveling back from celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr before the catastrophic accident occurred.

How It Happened
Both the resulting vehicles crashed against each other when the Lahore-bound bus (LRO-2562) tried to overtake a different vehicle at high speed.
The authorities responsible for the area took excessive time to reach the crash site which occurred near Lundianwala Police Station. The bodies of five individuals together with children remained on the road until Jaranwala Hospital staff arrived.
Both drivers behind the bus and rickshaw ran from the accident site as it occurred. Police authorities seized the involved vehicles while also starting their search for both missing drivers.
