UAE now offers 5-year visa to Pakistanis
The UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi formally opened five-year tourist visa access for Pakistani travelers on Tuesday. The change takes effect because both the UAE and Pakistan settled past visa problems.
The Dubai General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs states that visa holders under this plan may enter the UAE multiple times during five years without need for local host support. This extended visa option gives international visitors better freedom to return to the UAE through many planned trips.
Ambassador Al-Zaabi discussed the development with Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori at his official residence in Karachi. At the meeting Al-Zaabi asked Governor Tessori to tour the UAE visa services at the Karachi consulate.
Governor Tessori showed appreciation for UAE investments with special attention to Karachi development and recognized the progress of his program. The ambassador praised the development initiatives and confirmed that the UAE will continue to aid regional development.
After facing difficulties Pakistani tourists encountered while traveling to the UAE the authorities have reached a solution. Official sources imply UAE immigration increased security for people traveling from Pakistan because they suspect crime risks and illegal acts like street begging. On December 16 2023 the Senate panel demanded that police verify every Pakistani traveler before travel agents supported their requests.
During the January 2024 Senate Standing Committee meeting on Overseas Pakistanis members confirmed that work visas remain unrestricted but visit visa standards have obviously strengthened. The UAE government wanted to stop begging from Pakistani tourists which led them to create new travel limitations.
Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi shared with media that negative activities performed by Pakistani social media influencers on TikTok caused problems for the UAE government. The visa changes happened but Dr. Alremeithi made clear that UAE still approved applications from Pakistani travelers.
Ambassador Al-Zaabi announced that Pakistani travelers are permitted five-year UAE tourist visas after successful problem resolution.
