Sea breeze brings relief in heatwave

Karachi Weather Update: Sea Breeze Restored, Temperatures Between 34-36°C for Next Few Days

The sea breeze has got quite proper this time in Karachi, therefore; the maximum and minimum temperature from today to tomorrow will be 34-36 ° C, said PMD spokesperson Anjum Nazeer Zeigham.

Indeed, while the city is still hot and humid, the high temperatures thereby recorded in the last few days are not felt anymore. The maximum temperature in Karachi was 34.2 °C on Tuesday and the humidity rate was 48 %.

However, PMD has issued a heatwave alert, meaning the southern districts of Sindh especially in the central part will experience 5 to 7 degrees higher temperatures thresholds at nongovernmentalized areas than it was observed in the average temperature of the month of April. Due to the heatwave, Nawabshah had the highest temperature of the day with 47 degree Celsius.

Larkana, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Jamshoro are likely to be the hottest places in the province on Wednesday. Furthermore, in Jamshoro, Dadu, and Nawabshah, expectations of occasional light rain shower will help to minimize the heat.
