Pakistan, Iran pledge stronger health cooperation
ISLAMABAD:
Minister of Health, Sindh, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechu has recently attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Health Ministers’ Conference in China during which she had meetings with her Iranian counter part for talking health cooperation between the two countries.
Specifically in his speech Kamal also stressed on the deep and historical bilateral relation between Iran and Pakistan and offered to increase the cooperation in the health sector. During the two officials’ meeting both ministers discussed numerous common concerns such as health sector tourism and telemedicine as prospects of cooperation.
Thus, the given meeting can be considered as the next step in the development of relations between the two countries as both sides underlined the further potential of cooperation in the context of the healthcare sphere.
Tourism is the Rolling industry and Health tourism can play major role in the development in the field of the society’s health sector and in the development of technological society Like Tele-medicine.
Both countries realized that health tourism was an emerging industry through which the two countries could enhance their growth and exchange of heath facilities. During the talks the ministers discussed potential possibilities for that travel with the goal of receiving qualified medical assistance for Pakistani and Iranian citizens.
Telemedicine, another focal area of the establishment, will also have a likelihood of significantly contributing to the solving of the current health crisis since it entails management of medical consultations in areas that would otherwise lack basic healthcare. The ministers chose to have ways to share experience and information on how to improve the delivery of telemedicine services to the people.
A Commitment to Stronger Healthcare Collaboration
The meeting ended with positive postures as both the countries entered in agreement over the further enhancement of medical cooperation.
