Jawed Salim Qureshi charged PEC with manipulation of votes during the elections.
PEC denied these allegations because a vote tallying process had been completed previously.
Additional Governance Concerns
PEC deals with both election problems and general administrative problems at its institution.
🔹 Registrar’s Promotion & Extension:
The Lahore High Court decided that PEC illegally extended the position of its registrar.
Under orders from the Ministry of Science & Technology PEC received a vote-rigging review but did not deliver results.
🔹 Unauthorized Committee Formation:
The reason PEC officials create unjustifiable committees is because they question if the practice complies with the bylaw rules and transparent way of running the operations.
Next Steps & Potential Actions
As detailed in the committee’s examination results, it will indicate if PEC’s leadership system needs any more measures to bring back openness.
