King Salman to host 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims for Hajj at personal expense

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has shown great generosity by arranging for 1,000 brave primary relatives from Palestine, including those with martyrs, prisoners and wounded, to take part in this year’s Hajj at his personal expense. The initiative comes under the Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, supervised by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.
Dr. Naif Al-Otaibi, the Saudi Press Attaché, shared the royal directive which is now seen globally as a demonstration of unity and kindness among all people.
Tahir Khan, a senior journalist, lauded the initiative, especially since violence in Palestine has not yet ceased. Now that Israel is still killing many women and children, this generous initiative provides spiritual support to those who mourn and struggle in Palestine.
Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, showed appreciation to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the gift which he believes demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for the Palestinians and its solidarity with the Islamic world.
Moreover, he pointed out that everything is now in place to support pilgrims from leaving their homes to coming back, so they receive the best hospitality and care in Makkah and Madinah.
The Guests Program has been welcoming pilgrims from all over the Muslim world to Mecca since 1417 AH, celebrating how the kingdom acts as a center of worship and logistics for the Islamic community and as the guardian of the Two Holy Mosques.
