Sindh Govt to Award Oxford University Scholarships to Six Deserving Students

The Sindh government offers scholarships to six qualified students for their education at Oxford University as part of the Benazir Bhutto Graduate Scholarship plan.

The announcement followed the entering into force of a MOU which made the opportunities accessible. Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari signed the agreement as he emphasized the need for education and empowerment during the event.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah explained that each year three males and three females from Sindh would receive educational aid through Oxford Pakistan.

The Sindh government maintains its years-long support system to help students pursue education abroad explained Chief Minister Shah.

Through the Bhutto program this scholarship system assists students in several scientific subjects including engineering technology and science.

When he visited Oxford University Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari remembered the struggles his mother Benazir Bhutto endured to make Pakistan better for future generations. He urged everyone to remember that despite woman’s limited options in society his mother achieved the role of Pakistan’s first Prime Minister through democracy. He underlined Pakistan’s pathway toward success relies on putting the constitution first through an independent court system and free media freedom.

Bilawal calls National Accountability Bureau (NAB) the “draconian law” and repeats that PPP opposes its existence. He also describes how PPP improved basic health services across Sindh. He talked about Balochistan security problems but confirmed Pakistan stays dedicated to protecting its nuclear resources.

Sindh government extended support to students by offering 3,157 new scholarships for 2023-2024 academic year through the Sindh Education Endowment Fund.

Through his statement the Chief Minister announced that scholarship programs support the provincial government’s mission to enable talented students in need to develop educationally.

Under the Safe City Program he mentioned that the administration works to protect everyone who lives in Karachi which hosts more than 20 million people.
